About Us
We are Euan Monro and Euphemia Crow, the creative duo behind Between Worlds.
Nestled on the wild west coast of the Scottish Highlands, just steps from a sweeping white sandy beach, we created Between Worlds as a bridge between the ordinary and the extraordinary. Our tiny croft house, with its thick stone walls and a hearth that burns peat and coal, is where the magic happens. When the Atlantic storms roll in and the electricity flickers out (as it often does), we light candles, stoke the fire, and lose ourselves in stories that have shaped us for years.
Our Story
Between Worlds began as a simple idea: to bring the wonder of classic literature into everyday life through beautiful, tangible things. We launched Liminal Mail, our monthly subscription service, as the first step on this journey. Each envelope delivers a moment of escape, original art prints inspired by timeless books, from the dystopian shadows of 1984 to the beauty and wit of Pride and Prejudice, the subterranean adventures of Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and many more.
Alongside the art, subscribers receive our signature "quotemark", fun bookmarks that also serve as standalone quote cards and monthly calendars. These little objects are designed to live between the pages of your own books, marking both time and treasured passages.
Our artwork draws inspiration from old illustrations and classic film stills, reimagined with a modern yet timeless feel. We aim to capture those liminal spaces, the haunting thresholds between reality and imagination.
Why We Do This
We believe literature has the power to transport us. Our artworks capture those liminal spaces — the thresholds between reality and imagination, the familiar and the fantastical. Whether it is a quiet coastal morning with our cheeky little Border Terrier, Little Otter, curled at our feet, or a wild evening when the wind howls around the croft, we draw inspiration from both the rugged beauty of our Highland home and the vast worlds found in the pages of great books.
What started as two people in a remote Scottish croft dreaming up designs has grown into a small creative studio with big ambitions. We are just getting started.
Looking Ahead
In the coming months and years, Between Worlds will expand into clothing, accessories, stationery, gift boxes, and more, all carrying the same spirit of literary wonder and thoughtful craftsmanship. Every piece will be designed and made by us, with care and attention to detail, in the same spirit that fuels our subscription letters.
